This course ensures you or your team can meet the rigorous new legal duties placed upon "Responsible Persons" for multi-occupied residential buildings.

Since 23 January 2023, it is a legal requirement for building owners or managers of multi-occupied residential buildings in England (with storeys over 11 metres) to:
Quarterly Checks: Undertake mandatory quarterly inspections of all fire doors, including self-closing devices, in common parts.
Annual Checks: Undertake—on a best-endeavour basis—annual inspections of all flat entrance doors that lead onto common parts.
Resident Information: Provide residents in buildings with two or more sets of domestic premises with vital information regarding the importance of fire doors to the building’s safety.

This is a comprehensive 2-day course that balances classroom-based theory with essential hands-on practical experience.
Theory: Understanding fire door regulations, the role of the "Responsible Person," and the technical components of fire door sets.
Practical: Hands-on inspection techniques for doors and self-closing devices to identify faults, wear, and non-compliance.
Support: This qualification is proudly supported by the British Fire Consortium (BFC), ensuring industry-leading relevance.
To ensure the highest standards of competency, candidates must complete:
Written Assessment: A controlled, closed-book assessment consisting of short-answer questions.
Practical Assessment: A hands-on demonstration of fire door inspection skills.
Upon successful completion, candidates will receive the EAL Level 3 Award in the Inspection of Fire Doors, providing proof of competence to insurers, local authorities, and residents.
