From Career Change to Trainee Engineer: David's Story

Meet David Tunner. 👋

David came to us with something you can't teach — genuine inspiration to build a new career in fire and security. What we could teach him was everything else: from reading camera resolution specs to understanding intruder alarm circuit configurations, including how double and triple end-of-line supervision actually works — not just in theory, but hands-on.

He completed our EAL Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electronic Security Systems, covering CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control as one nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification.

David came back to see us afterwards — and ended up in a great conversation with Ferdinand, our Director of Operations, about where his new qualification could take him. We're delighted to say David is starting as a Trainee Electronic Engineer.

This is exactly why we do what we do. David saw the potential in this industry — and we're certain he's got a bright future in it.
